Piersandro Pallavicini (1962) full professor of chemistry at the University of Pavia and writer, since 1998 he has published numerous novels and collections of short stories including the most recent In the garden of naked writers (Feltrinelli 2019), The art of good killing (Mondadori 2021) and The Director’s Son (Mondadori 2023). For almost thirty years he has been writing about Italian fiction in the literary supplement «TuttoLibri» of the newspaper «La Stampa». Passionate about contemporary art, he curates his own collection together with his wife Manola Dettori. In recent years he has started a collaboration with the newspaper «Il Giornale», where he publishes portraits of artists and writings on the world of contemporary Italian art. His book Studio Italia – A collector in the ateliers of contemporary Italian painting, will be released by Helvetia editrice in October 2023. Starting from 2022, Piersandro and Manola will organize, in their home in Pavia, a “flash home show” of the lasting just one evening, dedicated to young emerging artists, whose catalogs they curate and create, published in an out-of-print edition and printed in a few dozen numbered copies.
